  • "Department: Rad Tech / XRay Tech

    Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT, ND state lic

    • How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 7 treatment areas

    • Average # of scans/studies per day 70-80 per day in addition to 5-15 OR cases per day

    • Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Inpatient, outpatient, ER- peds through geriatrics. Variety- busy OR, high volume ER, and fluoroscopy procedures

    • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have C-arm experience, prefer O-Arm but can train. Must be experienced with portables and fluoroscopy.

    • Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Will cover inpatient, outpatient, OR, ER

    • EMR &/or PACS: EPIC, Citrix

    • Department Specific Equipment: OEC c-arms, Metronics o-arm, Fuji general, portable fuji, Siemens fluoro

    • Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift?: Supervisors and coordinators on day shift

    • Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No

    • Radiologist in-house? Yes, Mon-Fri 0800-1630, After hours images are sent to teleradiology

    • Do they have to start IVs?: No

    • Shifts & Scheduling: 8 hours M-F with variable start times - Days: 0600, 0700, 0730,1130- could be alternating, Evening: 1130-2000, Nights: 7p-7a (mostly on weekend shift) Manager will create schedule

    • Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend- weekend start time is 0700 and shifts are 12 hours

    • Holiday Requirements: if needed

    • Weekday Call: after shift 1530/1600-0700 1-2 days a week

    • Weekend Call: will be on call on your scheduled weekend when you are not working average 8.5-15.5 hrs of call time

    • Call Response time? Call required - 20-30 min response time

    • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? provided

    • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 1.5-2 weeks will be clinical and EPIC training

    • Additional Notes Family feel & a great team that works together

    Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

    RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
