Summary of Position

We are seeking a Part-Time Warehouse Associate to join our team within the SANS Digital business unit. This position will assist with the maintenance and shipping of the Digital business unit's A/V equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory and maintain SANS Digital audio/video equipment to ensure gear is in good working order before and after field use.

• Prepare equipment for use at home recordings, recording studios, and other production locations.

• Review shipments of AV equipment upon arrival at the warehouse to confirm proper inventory and document any loss/damage.

• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate degree, Certification, or equivalent in Audio Engineering, Video Production, or related field.

• Familiarity with audio/video equipment such as cabling, recording devices, wired and wireless microphones, audio mixing consoles, video switchers, video projectors, webcams, etc.

• Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.

• Familiarity with logistics and shipping practices.

• Ability to communicate professionally and work well independently.

• Ability to load and unload gear from trucks, push wheeled cases, and lift at least 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Audio Engineering, Video Production, or related field.

• Three or more years' experience in audio/video production.

• Knowledge of A/V signal flow and A/V production best practices.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems.

• Familiarity with Adobe, Magix, VLC, Audacity, and other media editing tools.

Reporting Relationships

• The Warehouse Associate will report to the SANS Digital Audio-Visual Technology Manager.

Work Environment

• The Warehouse Associate will work in the Beltsville Warehouse up to 20 hours per week (exact schedule will be negotiated with the Digital Audio-Visual Technology Manager).

The base salary range for this position is between $17 and $20 per hour. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and years of experience. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
