    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented VP of Operational Risk to join our team! In this role you will get to develop an infrastructure of risk management that can be applied across the enterprise to empower project managers and business unit leadership to properly identify and manage risks during all phases of project capture and execution. You will be a champion for risk management, offers guidance, leadership, and training on proper risk management practices.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Supports and monitors the execution of risk management practices across the organization.

    • Oversees establishment of an enterprise Risk Management Framework, works with internal stakeholders to implement this framework in their specific areas of the business.

    • Develops key risk management processes and tools to enable Business Units to implement sound risk management.

    • Develops risk management training to empower Business Unit leadership, inclusive of Program Managers, Directors, and Sector Leads, and project management to identify and manage risk in an effective and consistent manner.

    • Leader and advocate in the discipline of Risk Management. Develops culture and guidance around risk management.

    • Attends key meetings / gate reviews and contributes to identifying risk at key points in the business acquisition process and project execution.

    • Advises and partners with Business Unit leadership on risks to the business and recommendations on mitigation strategies.

    • Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create initiatives related to risk management and other aspects of operational planning and project execution.

    • Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for team members.

    • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

    What Required/Desired Skills You'll Bring:

    • Bachelor's Degree with 20 yrs+ of related experience.

    • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.

    • Proven track record in risk management, preferably in project management or a related field .

    • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout various stages of the project lifecycle is crucial.

    • Broad general technical and business background

    • Strong analytical skills for assessing complex data, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to manage and mitigate them effectively.

    • Effective written and communication skills - able to convey complex risk information to stakeholders at various levels, ensuring a clear understanding.

    • Ability to make informed and timely decisions and should be comfortable making tough decisions based on careful analysis and consideration of potential consequences.

    • A strategic mindset for developing long-term risk management plans that align with the overall business strategy and objectives.

    • Strong acumen of both project and business financials.

    • Strong leadership skills to lead a team of professionals effectively. This includes the ability to inspire and motivate the team to achieve common goals.

    • The ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to emerging risks.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across the organization.

    • Adaptable and capable of adjusting strategies to address evolving challenges.

    • US Citizenship required.

    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with government contracting in commercial, FED government, and international areas.

    • Familiarity with Engineering / Technical Disciplines, Cyber, Construction, Design, Consulting.

    • Thorough knowledge of Federal Contracting practices, Commercial and State Contracting practices and regulations: FAR, State and Local Regulations, etc.

    • Advanced knowledge of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on projects

    Salary Range

    $179,800.00 - $343,700.00

    This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
