    The Vice President of Resource Management will lead a strategic, business-critical discipline that is a core element of our ability to re-organize our business. Centralizing resourcing will drive both a cultural shift of accountability and a business shift of visibility related to capacity, utilization and open staffing needs. This role serves as executive sponsor for resource planning and allocation tools and platforms to allow for transparency and effective deployment of talent. This individual will need to understand the complexity of how our work gets done, gain a deep understanding of our talent capabilities and career goals, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role will serve a critical role in the TGI leadership team and help build and manage additional processes that move us toward our overarching business goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to increased TGI revenue by deploying and actively managing processes and procedures that make the staffing of employees to project needs incrementally more efficient on a consistent basis.

    • Contribute to improved financial reporting for the overall business unit by actively collaborating with TGI client/workstream leads to develop and maintain more accurate project budget forecasts.

    • Collaborate with business and client leads to create transparency around team metrics (e.g., forecasted capacity reporting; utilization vs. realization; billability & skills need analysis; future staffing trends).

    • Improve processes and workflow. Administer any specialized software used specifically to facilitate the resource management function, streamline RM processes, data mining and reporting.

    • Manage internal capacity forecasting to provide regular organization-wide snapshots of both short-term and longer-term staff allocation levels.

    • Facilitate the matching of project staffing needs against available capacity while balancing against key factors such as specific skills/experience needed by the project, skills/experiences desired by employees as part of their individual professional development plans.

    • Actively collaborate with TGI leads responsible for new business opportunities - both net new clients as well as existing clients - to understand the potential scope and timing of pending work and its potential impact on overall staffing needs for the organization.

    • Reduce aggregate administrative overhead across the business unit by centralizing day-to-day resource management activities.

    • Work with functional leads to solve for project changes, delays, or other shifting resources, as well as planned outages such as out of office coverage.

    • Contribute to a qualitative improvement of the TGI stakeholder experience by enabling faster response times to their outreaches for project support requests.

    • Contribute to a qualitative improvement of the TGI employee experience by serving as an internal resource to staff to a) help meet utilization targets for junior and mid-level staff; and b) help TGI client/workstream leads staff confirmed project work they are responsible for delivering.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to join us in a hybrid model of working in person in the office weekly.

    • Previous research, PR, marketing or media agency experience required.

    • Ability to anticipate and quickly assess changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly

    • Solid understanding of project lifecycle and process: able to understand project requirements, understand briefs, and recognize potential risks and dependencies relevant to resourcing work.

    • Exceptional planning, coordination, management, and communication skills

    • Ability to influence vision, direction, and goals for the resource management function

    • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and strategic resource allocation.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    • Knowledge of primary and secondary research processes is a plus.

    • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in

    The anticipated salary range for this position at the Vice President level is $114,689 - $161,000.

    Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
