    CGI Federal is hiring a Sr. Technical Writer (PMO) to work with a skilled and motivated team of professionals on a high-visibility Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) cyber security program. You will support a dynamic, fast-paced project focused on improving the cyber security posture of civilian government agencies through the implementation and enhancement of a cybersecurity platform, providing integration services, and developing, securing and maintaining cybersecurity dashboards. You will work closely with a variety of agency stakeholders, supporting their mission, priorities, organization and unique challenges. You will also support the development of additional cyber security offerings focused on next generation security solutions and technologies.

    This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    • Interviews various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.

    • Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users.

    • Documents engineering processes and specifications.

    • Diagram business and technical processes for inclusion in documentation and internal briefings.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc.), technical writing or other related degree.

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer.

    • Ability to write user-friendly, engaging copy about highly technical subjects.

    • Ability to understand and accurately translate technical information for a general audience.

    • Attention to detail and clarity of expression leading to error-free documentation.

    • Ability to create graphics, charts, figures, etc.

    • Experience with Microsoft Visio.

    • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple documents simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

    • Experience working in an Agile environment.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Desired qualifications

    • Experience with CISA's Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program.

    • Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 - Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems: a Security Life Cycle Approach and NIST 800-137 - Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800 - $130,500.
