The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by collaborating with suppliers, developing and implementing quality control plans, and performing quality audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Develop and implement quality control plans for suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
Collaborate with suppliers to identify and correct quality issues, and implement corrective actions
Conduct quality audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
Develop and maintain supplier quality rating systems
Investigate and report quality defects, and implement corrective actions
Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality initiatives
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve quality processes
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a supplier quality engineering or related field
Strong understanding of quality engineering principles, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and relevant industry standards
Experience with supplier quality rating systems and audit processes
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (domestic and international)
Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
5+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related field
Certification in a quality engineering or auditing field (e.g. CQE, CQA)
Experience with lean manufacturing principles
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
