Supplier Quality Engineer

Description

Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) are responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with requirements of the organization. SQE's drive root cause analysis of vendor issues, lead containment and corrective action efforts, and communicate updates to internal and external parties. Monitor repeat issues and confirm countermeasures are robust. Support ISO audits by performing internal audits and updating business processes and flow charts were appropriate.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

3-5 years experience MUST HAVE DEGREE - Develop long-term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction tasks. - Aid Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials and parts. - Support supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase supplier capability of consistently meeting Haas requirements. Projects may include: process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen events. - Analyze and effectively resolve manufacturing and assembly related problems. - Maintain established supplier rating system, initiating corrective action for non-compliance and reporting on cause. - Perform random audit of work instructions, process control sheets, and test procedures. Initiates cause and corrective action and reports the results.
