Job Description

• Strong Cohesity - design, implementation, configuration, and administration skills.

• Physical Servers: (Vendor, Model) ProLiant DL360 & DL380.

• Virtual Software: (i.e., VMware, Hyper-V) VMWare vSphere 6&7.

• Operating Systems: RHEL, ESXi, Proprietary software appliance provided by the backup vendors.

• Cluster Software: vSphere.

• Storage: (Vendor, Model) VMWare vSAN hyper converged, Cohesity

• Storage Management Tools: vRealize Suite, Cohesity.

• CLI Scripting: (i.e., Python, Perl) Python & Ansible.

• SAN (protocols, SAN Switches) N/A.

• Other: Enterprise storage, VMWare virtualization, Cohesity, Dell EMC Data Protection Advisor, networking, technical documentation

Day-to-day activities

• (Infrastructure Design Phase)

• Storage platform administration:

• Rack/stack hardware (if available onsite)

• Assist with setup of VMWare clusters.

• Setup backup infrastructure

• Performance benchmarking

• Perform necessary testing & validation.

• Storage management tools:

• vRealize Suite, Cohesity

• Storage capacity planning:

• Document the design and best practices for capacity planning team.

• Storage Performance and Capacity monitoring:

• Help integrate the solution with existing backup monitoring and reporting tools.

• Veritas NetBackup engineering:

• Test EEBs and document

• Test new versions (to include appliances) and document.

• Test hotfixes and document

• Test new versions (to include physical and virtual editions) and document.

• Test hotfixes and document

• Test new versions (to include physical and virtual editions) and document.
