    Insight Global is seeking a Sr DBA to join one of its largest global airline clients. This Sr DBA will join a team of 3 other DBAs in a Level 3 role specific to the client's SQL towers. This team is in process of moving to an open-source cloud platform, as well as an upgrade from SQL 2012 to SQL 2019. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, will be necessary in this role. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in a Level 3 DBA role. Experience within an AWS environment is preferred, but not required. This role will require candidates to work on call weekly for escalations with high severity.

    Candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid model (no more than 3 days a week) in Minneapolis, MN or Atlanta, GA. This client also requires contractors to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 5 years experience in a Database Administrator role

    • Minimum 4 years experience in a Level 3 escalation role

    • Extensive knowledge of SQL server

    • Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL

    • Knowledge of AWS

    • Previous work with a SQL upgrade, preferably to SQL 2019

    • Experience with post-incident reports and root-cause analysis

    • Strong communication both written and oral

    • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field - Link tables homogeneous & heterogeneous

    • Experience with Replatforming, Migrations, or Disaster Recovery null
