    About This Role

    Textron Systems is looking for a Sr. Program Manager within its Electronic Systems business, specifically to support its growing EW and Software installed base. An integral part of the Customer Support & Services (CSS) Organization, this role provides leadership for the Program Management staff, is accountable for execution on all contracts within the EW Simulation & Software business lines in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan and contract requirements.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist in the assignment and allocation of Program and Project Managers to execute Customer Support & Services contracts and holds the Program team accountable for cost, schedule, performance and quality requirements of the programs and associated Contract Line Items. Ensures the team is performing to tasks effectively and within objectives identified.

    • Manages all aspects of Product Sustainment, from inventory management, hardware and software repair and maintenance, upgrades and cross-sell opportunities in support of customer requirements.

    • Establishes milestones and schedules, financial baselines and monitors adherence to master plan/ schedule and financial baseline.

    • Develops capture and negotiation strategies for key pursuits and proposals, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to maximize benefits and CSS value proposition.

    • Leads all internal and external project reviews to include discussions relative to cost, schedule and/or performance.

    • Responsible for risk management across the portfolio.

    • Responsible for the team's execution in a matrix organization that supports products across a global installed base. Works closely with Contracts, Engineering, Import/Export, and Integrated Supply Chain leaders to accomplish business objectives.

    • Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing specifications/ procedures

    • Acts as or assigns capture lead for CSS opportunities and is accountable to AOP/LRP orders forecasting.

    • Ensures enterprise leadership is updated on significant program issues and ensure company direction and strategies are known and executed

    • Works with Business Development to develop new business or expand product line with current and potential customers.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field required. An advanced degree is preferred.

    • 12 years of related experience including 5 years PM experience or 5 years technical management experience.

    • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent preferred

    • Experience running both traditional waterfall and agile software development projects.

    • Experience with management of large defense sub-contractors is preferred

    • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, peers - both internally and externally.

    • Proven experience exercising a high degree of tact, objectivity, and diplomacy to obtain program and financial objectives.

    • Excellent communication skills inclusive of both oral and written presentation.

    • Top Secret/TS-SCI clearance desired.
