Sr. Network Engineer

Description

We are in search of a Sr. Network Engineer to join our team in the Hi Tech Engineering industry. Located in Carlsbad, California, this role is essential in designing, managing, and optimizing firewall environments, handling load balancing setups, overseeing routing configurations, and administering switch configurations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the robust growth of our services and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimize firewall environments, focusing on Azure NSGs, Cisco ASA, and Linux Iptables

• Oversee routing configurations, including Azure S2S/Express Route gateways and Linux-based routing and bridging

• Handle load balancing setups, with a preference for Azure load balancers and Citrix Netscaler solutions

• Administer switch configurations, primarily focusing on HP and Cisco products

• General maintenance of the platform

• Monitor and resolve tickets

• Provide 1st line support on network related issues

• Perform network configuration verifications in relation to security policies

• Manage and setup backup jobs

• Utilize skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Linux, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Design, Eigrp, Firewall Technologies, and Azure.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of Network Engineering.

• Have experience working with Linux operating systems.

• Hold expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

• Have experience working with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies.

• Demonstrate proficiency in working with Checkpoint tools.

• Possess knowledge and experience in Computer Hardware.

• Have solid skills in Configuration Management.

• Display a strong background in Design and Eigrp.

• Exhibit in-depth knowledge of Firewall Technologies.

• Show a flair for problem-solving and analytical thinking.

• Be a team player with excellent communication skills.

• Hold relevant certifications in Network Engineering.

• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Display strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Have a proactive approach to work and the ability to anticipate potential problems before they occur.

• Be willing to continuously update knowledge and skills in line with technological advancements in the industry.
