    About the Role

Our Performance and Leadership function is critical to how we drive performance aligned to our purpose, mission, vision, and company values. This role plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing talent development solutions across Gap Inc. that reinforce our culture and drive business performance.

    As the Sr. Director of Performance and Leadership Development, you will be

    responsible for leading talent & leadership development for our workforce. You will be a thought leader ensuring internal programs are consistent with modern

    research and practices, while simultaneously, overseeing day-to-day activities to

    foster cross-functional collaboration with a diverse team of business leaders, HR

    partners, and other business stakeholders to deliver results.

    What You'll Do

    Develop and implement talent development programs that balance innovation with

    rigor - driving high-impact development for our employees at all career stages (i.e.,

    hire-to-retire, early career through experienced executive).

    Drive a high-performance culture that aligns Gap Inc's purpose, mission, vision,

    values (including Values-Based Leadership Behaviors) to end-to-end talent planning

    and development activities - driving rigor for succession, pipeline development, and

    development planning to meet accelerated talent demands.

    Collaborative partner with HR partners and business leaders to design and

    implement talent management/planning, talent development, and leadership

    scorecards and dashboards to improve that speed and quality of talent decisions.

    Engage and collaborate with cross-functional partners in Talent Acquisition and

    Learning & Development to develop strategies to strengthen or fill gaps, as needed,

    to ensure a ready now talent pipeline; identify and deploy appropriate retention

    strategies to promote organizational stability.

    Lead and develop a team of professionals to implement all Performance and

    Leadership Development Objectives - enabling development and career growth for

    team members

    PROGRAM LEADERSHIP: Demonstrated experience building or upgrading an

    enterprise (end-to-end) talent/performance management system - philosophy,

    strategy, initiatives, and cross-functional stakeholder manage

    BUSINESS PARTNER: Demonstrated experience building coalitions of cross-

    functional partners to effectively drive talent/performance management

    programs/initiative

    CHANGE LEADERSHIP: Demonstrated experience leading change in a fast-paced,

    matrixed organization. Encourages open dialogue, even when discussing difficult

    topics. Demonstrates courage by addressing conflicts directly and constructively,

    fostering a culture of transparency and trust within the team.

    THOUGHT LEADERSHIP: Demonstrated knowledge of modern (innovative)

    talent/performance research and practices - able to propose and implement

    solutions that are relevant for Gap Inc. Proactively embraces challenges, seeks

    HR LEADERSHIP: Demonstrated knowledge of HR disciplines - able build

    alignment across HR (as needed) to implement talent/performance management

    Salary Range: $197,800 - $272,000 USD

    Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
