Robert Half's client, a growing family-owned company is seeking a Sr. Accountant due to an upcoming retirement. This position is a key member of the finance team and will report to the corporate controller.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post accurate and timely monthly journal entries to ensure the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) for review.

• Reconcile accounts receivable accounts, including aging analysis and identification of any discrepancies or issues.

• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, MS Great Plains Accounting, and Financial Statement Preparation in day-to-day responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Will consider Associate's Degree

• 4+ years related accounting experience

• Microsoft Great Plains exp. a plus!

• Must have advanced Microsoft Excel (v-look ups/pivot tables)
