Senior Technology Development Engineer - Member of Technical Staff

onsemi is currently seeking an experienced Senior Member of the Technical Staff to develop and optimize process flows for power devices. This person will utilize her/his knowledge, skills, and most importantly energy and willingness to learn, to take on challenges to support onsemi's technology and operations teams to improve the reliability and manufacturability of our power device products. This position reports to the Director, R&D Engineering.

Performance Objectives

Technical tool & process expert to contribute to the 300mm Post FAB strategy & roadmap for:

• Image sensor WLCSP & TSV

• Embedded die

• Grade 0 metallization

• Cu plated metallization

• Metallization to support sintering, Pb-Free solder and alpha particle reduction

• Post FAB technology transfers to support business unit objectives

• To develop equipment, process and process integration techniques to improve MOSFET, IGBT, CMOS, Image Sensor device reliability across technology families.

• Develop and implement tool and process capability versus the design requirements.

• Embed within the technology development teams worldwide to assess manufacturability of new process flows and designs.

• Evaluate new tools and enabling technology for cost and throughput for existing and new device technologies.

• Work with fab unit process and process integration teams to define and evaluate alternate processes or tools to improve yield and manufacturability to meet product and cost targets.

• Identify key yield limiters across technology product families, recommend, and prioritize yield improvement efforts.

• Interact with quality team (including failure analysis) to identify process and design improvement opportunities.

• Interact with Business Unit teams for roadmap alignment
