    Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Bolling AFB in Washington, D.C.

    Senior System Administrator (Momentum) - 6.52

    Individual will be a key member of a team performing a DoD Agency systems maintenance and sustainment support for the accounting/budgeting system (Momentum Financials® - core product). Position will work closely with the current administrators performing help desk support, working with hosting organization, executing software installs, and testing/troubleshooting hardware and software updates.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform technical assessments/acceptability of software and hardware

    • Apply system enhancements to production after proper documentation and testing

    • Process, monitor, control, and execute batch jobs for interfaces

    • Represent the customer on various technical review and inspection teams

    • Obtain, compile, and summarize information for use by others.

    • Ownership of the problems and requests assigned, focus on managing/resolving issues

    • Responding to database related alerts and escalations

    • Engage with database engineering to come up with strategic solutions for recurring problems

    • Ensure database is backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)

    • Maintain communication with technology customers to keep them updated with status of their requests

    • Perform Help Desk Support

    • Coordinate and interacting with the Network Operations Center (NOC) ensuring server environments are current and backed up

    • Develop and maintain procedures for system operations, product installations, and explanations of the system logic

    • Support software and hardware updates for other legacy systems

    • Able to travel within the organizational area of responsibility (=/<25% travel)

    Experience:

    • Experience with SAP Programs is desired

    • 4+ years working Tier 1/2 computer help desk Knowledge of automated trouble ticket systems

    • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, replication issues, connectivity issues, and security issues

    • Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts. Tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests

    • Understanding of DoD IA security policies, controls, and documentation

    Desired Certifications:

    • Security + Certification (required-must be obtained within 6 months of start date)

    • Microsoft Server Certifications

    • Network Security Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI, JAFAN eligible

    Physical Requirements:

    • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

    • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.

    • The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

    • Willingness to travel within the NCR (National Capital Region)
