  • If you are an experienced Manufacturing Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an opportunity for you! Based in our Chanhassen, MN location, you will join an engineering team manufacturing Pressure Instrumentation used in nuclear power, aerospace, and oil and gas markets. This manufacturing engineering role will provide innovative solutions in support of new product development, continuous process improvements, and ongoing operational support using lean tools and root cause and corrective action processes to resolve and improve manufacturing.

    In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

    • Applying technical expertise to design and/or develop complex manufacturing processes and equipment requirements.

    • Gathering and analyzing data to recommend design changes to product and/or processes to improve safety, quality, service level and reduce costs.

    • Solving production problems and improving process capabilities.

    • Interacting frequently with customers and suppliers on technical and/or administrative matters

    • Working closely with production teams and other engineering departments such as Customer Care, Supply Chain, Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Software.

    • Providing technical leadership in the area of manufacturing in support of new product development programs. Providing innovative solutions and feedback on design for manufacturability initiatives.

    • Preparing detailed plans, generally spanning several months, necessary to complete assigned projects. Developing and approving schedule milestones and managing budget targets.

    • Administering technical procedures including process and work procedures.

    • Providing expertise, technical leadership and coaching of less experienced engineers in the areas of organizational development, process efficiency, and problem solving.

    • Leading and participating in six sigma and lean manufacturing improvement teams.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school

    • Six (6) or more years of applicable manufacturing engineering experience

    • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role

    Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

    • ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred.

    • Proven track record of using Lean and six sigma tools in a manufacturing environment.

    • Experience in automated weld process development
