    Position Summary As a Senior Manager, Store Brand Product Sourcing, you will be responsible for all aspects of the supplier selection process for CVS Store Brand healthcare items. This individual will work to develop an effective supplier base, cultivate positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders, work to drive incremental profit for CVS and develop effective negotiation strategies with some of our largest suppliers. This individual will work as part of the IQ Purchasing team, reporting directly to the Managing Director of IQ Purchasing.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Manage complex and strategic negotiations, RFPs and RFQs

    • Focus on driving value by leveraging abilities as a skilled negotiator

    • Develop presentations that articulate conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership team and category management

    • Drive and implement tailored sourcing strategies, providing senior level guidance for healthcare commodities

    • Optimize supplier pipeline to elevate our sourcing capabilities; manage supplier consolidation and manage ad hoc projects. Achieves goal by focusing on adding new suppliers outside the current scope, leveraging bulk suppliers, co-packers and contract manufacturers

    • Actively manages Forecast processes, owns the Value Capture analysis and reporting. Ensure realized savings ties back to projected budget/goal and forecast. Uses business intelligence and market insight do describe variances

    • L ead in efforts for continued process improvement and development of models to create better efficiencies in the sourcing process

    • Independently design and conduct complex analyses (e.g. addressing multiple, interconnected issues or elements) using various variables.

    • Engage cross-functionally across the organization to drive results and resolve issues encountered by the team

    • Ability to assess market dynamics and business trend and course-correct as necessary

    • Partner with other groups including finance, inventory, legal, joint partners and manufacture partners (e.g., major CPGs) involved in the sourcing process

    Required Qualifications

    • 5-8 year's minimum relevant experience in Category Management; or in an analytical, inventory, sourcing, merchandising, or buying position

    • Ability to construct complex models to analyze information (primarily in Excel)

    • Effectively gains support for decisions from leaders

    • Be a great negotiator and demonstrate ability to think and act strategically

    • Superior analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills including competency with statistics

    • Understands upstream manufacturing processes and supply chain process

    • Highest level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines

    • Explain analysis through PowerPoint (e.g., tell the story)

    • Keen ability to distill complex ideas into simpler frameworks and illustrations

    • High level of independent judgment and initiative required

    • Willingness to travel 10-15% of the time

    • Ability to follow a hybrid working model (3 days in office and 2 days from home) for Woonsocket, RI office location

    Preferred Qualifications

    • SAS, SQL, Access and Tableau knowledge

    • Experience with Healthcare products

    • 1 year or more of consulting or related analytical experience a plus

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is

    $79,200.00 - $174,200.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
