    We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Director of Digital Merchandising to join the Digital Commerce team within the Omnichannel organization. This role will be responsible for crafting a digitally-delivered Omnichannel experience that enables Ferguson Enterprises to achieve and exceed its performance targets in the digital channel across a portfolio of platforms and domains. This leader will be a central partner collaborating multi-functionally to understand business group strategic goals, defining and executing comprehensive merchandising plans to meet these goals, guiding feature improvements, and proactively reporting outcomes. This individual will be performance-focused and consider total Enterprise value in all their decisions by embracing the strength of all channels working together. The right candidate will have a proven record of leading, managing, and developing talent for a digital merchant team at scale.

    ** This is a Hybrid role based out Corporate Headquarters in Newport News, VA, in accordance with Ferguson's Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.**

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead the digital merchant and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) teams with dedicated focus on ~~~, ~~~, Power Equipment Direct, and the scalable Digital Experience team. These platforms serve to drive Ferguson's Omnichannel strategy and success is measured as the value the digital experience adds to the whole. Ensure consistency in go to market strategies, tools, and processes while enhancing the unique value of each.

    • Establish thought leadership for Digital Merchandising that shows a clear view of how the team will advance our Omnichannel objectives. Establish internal partnerships and alignment with all critical collaborators to the clearly defined strategy.

    • Establish thought leadership and best practices for SEM to ensure we are driving the right qualified traffic to balance both efficiency and effectiveness to meet our performance objectives. Ensure we are working collaboratively with Performance Marketing teams to improve the value of the channels together.

    • Meet performance targets across assigned Ferguson digital properties including ~~~, ~~~, and Power Equipment Direct.

    • Collaborate multi-functionally to have a comprehensive understanding of the Enterprise Product Strategy. Use this insight to develop robust digital merchandising strategies that advocate for our intentional Product Strategy. Be an active collaborator sharing data and insights to advise our Product Strategy to drive value for the business and customer.

    • Be the representative of Digital Merchandising with our vendor partners and ensure we are building comprehensive digital strategies in tandem with their Digital teams that enable our Product Strategy.

    • Day to day business partner with core Marketing teams including SEM and Digital Performance to ensure we are acquiring the right customers and driving them to the right digital experiences to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing spend.

    • Provide proactive performance reporting and insights to team members and leadership. Use the data to challenge the status quo in a productive and collaborative way to evolve Merchandising priorities and practices as needed.

    • Be a positive and vocal advocate for the Digital channel in support of the broader Enterprise strategic vision.

    • Develop customer segment and personalization strategies to enhance the value of our customers' experiences. Be a key partner and leader supporting the Product team in the development of our platforms to meet these needs.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Minimum 10+ years' experience in digital merchandising and digital marketing.

    • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a senior leadership role with accountability for driving and meeting critical metrics at scale.

    • Adept at leading large organizations with multiple layers of leadership and executing organizational change effectively.

    • History of developing leaders and building a highly engaged organization.

    • Demonstrable ability to drive profitable growth.

    • In-depth experience and expertise leveraging SEM and performance marketing channels for acquisition, conversion, and retention.

    • Effective at creating and delivering audience-relevant and compelling presentations to large groups up to C-suite both internally and externally.

    • Data-driven and results-focused leader: must be able to apply data in an effective manner to positively influence outcomes.

    • Understand the complexities of customer behavior across a wide swathe of industries and segments and how to utilize insights and feedback to meet their needs.

    • Able to prioritize and delegate to meet the needs of the business.
