A Senior Construction Inspector is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Spring Valley, NY area. This role involves overseeing construction projects in various electric utility areas, ensuring adherence to specifications, safety, and environmental policies, while possessing managerial skills, technical knowledge and organizational abilities.

responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects encompassing various electric utility types, including overhead and underground transmission, substations, distribution, environmental, and facilities.

• Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, from design to final folder closeout.

• Conduct inspections of contractor work to ensure adherence to company specifications, proper work methods, and equipment usage.

• Read and interpret drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures accurately.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and maintain a safe work environment.

• Maintain detailed field records, including daily job reports, material usage, field test records, and documentation.

Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills for completing daily paperwork, maps, and documentation, with a clear understanding of construction units of measurement.

Education and Experience

• Hold an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or possess equivalent work experience with a high school diploma.

• Have at least five years of prior experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction, emphasizing electric installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting.
