    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Salesforce Engineer will build, maintain, integrate, and implement software applications within the organization. In this role, you will conduct software application development, quality assurance, configuration, installation, and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Conduct complex technical software development, debug systems and software applications, and leverage existing programs to provide solutions, as needed.

    • Compile and prioritize enhancements and defect resolutions to applications, implementing changes.

    • Performs advanced and complex programming, coding and documentation of systems and applications software.

    • Prepare detailed technical specifications to write applications and programs based on business requirements.

    • Develop systems or application technology in accordance with internal and external software compliance standards for multiple projects.

    • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

    • Work alongside Solution Architects and Technical Architects to design, develop, and deploy large-scale enterprise solutions all while learning and growing your skill set.

    • Contribute to communities of practice forums to share broader updates with Cargill's Salesforce community.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelors' degree in a related field or equivalent experience

    • Minimum of four years of related work experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong understanding of Salesforce Declarative Programming and Administration (develop code, custom objects, LDS, Apex, reports, workflows and assignment rules)

    • Design and develop solutions which may interface/integrate with other applications such as ERP etc.

    • Lead data analysis and conversion within or between Salesforce orgs

    • 3+ years' experience as a Salesforce Technical Developer/Consultant (preferably Sales/Service Cloud)

    • Ability to program in at least one programming language

    • Experience with software application frameworks or methodologies

    • Experience in designing and building applications

    • Demonstrated understanding of software design and programming principles
