    Our client is seeking a motivated and leadership oriented individual to join the Life Cycle Sustainment Operations (LCSO) team as a Test Engineering Technician in Elkridge, Maryland.

    Test Engineering Technician ...

    • Sets up, runs and troubleshoots (down to the component level) test sets for a wide variety of programs.

    • Supports technicians through troubleshooting Hardware and Test Sets

    • Mentor and train new technicians and experienced technicians on newer test sets

    • Gather and analyze test data to identify early trends

    • Supports program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions

    • Collaborates with Test Engineering to develop and implement hardware and test system improvements and solutions.

    • Assisting engineering in creating designs and/or developing circuits, processes and operations that assure proper function of product and test equipment per design specifications by working from general block diagrams, rough outlines of basic circuits, oral instructions, schematics, etc; making necessary calculations to obtain or compare data as required

    • Developing, constructing and supporting test of highly complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems; developing and constructing experimental and prototype devices, models and systems working from very general information; performing repairs and calibrations as necessary

    • Performing initial procedural tests on new and/or changed equipment; making modifications/calibrations as required to achieve desired results

    • Assist Test Engineering with the development of processes, test procedures, and revision notices.

    • Performing integration testing of software and hardware

    • Adhere to established procedures and practices as required to ensure compliance

    The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate and work with a variety of internal personnel from manufacturing, test engineering, and design engineering. He/she should also be self-directed, organized, and team.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications

    • High school graduate or recognized equivalent (GED).

    • Graduate of a two year full time technical school in electronic technology or six months of military electronic school/training plus two years of military experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic systems.

    • Experience using MS Office tools

    • A minimum of 7 years experience as an electronics technician or equivalent.

    • Must have the ability and experience troubleshooting down to the component level.

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience testing RF circuitry and troubleshooting to the component level by following schematics is preferred.

    • Able to troubleshoot and operate test equipment

    • Test tool development experience

    • Test procedure development experience

    • Experience with LabView software

    • Experience training and/or mentoring other personnel
