QC Lab Technician

Chemistry Lab Technician - Dallas, TX

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently recruiting for a Chemistry Lab Technician. This company is a developer and manufacturer of niche topical personal care and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products, both for Revision and other third parties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform physical testing of cosmetics and drug products

• Assist chemists with analytical and physical testing

• Clean lab glassware

• File documents

• Support QC and production as needed

• Prepare shipping documents for samples sent to external labs

• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment

• Perform physical testing on materials

• Record data and report findings

• Evaluate data and suggest improvements

• Assist with receiving and inspecting materials

• Prepare equipment and materials for testing

• Identify products not meeting standards

• Collect water samples for testing

• Organize and maintain material samples

• Clean glassware, remove waste, and file paperwork

• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize and multi-task

• Work collaboratively in a team environment

• Work flexible hours (10 hours) and weekends as needed

Job Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the personal care/cosmetic industry (preferred)

• High school diploma or related science degree (preferred)

• Familiar with cGMP, lab equipment, GLP, and lab safety procedures

• Must have experience in manufacturing, cosmetics and be a team player, creative thinker and self-motivated

• Knowledge of analytical instruments (viscosity, pH, SPG, FTIR, Melting Point) a plus

• Ability to work in a lab setting with chemicals and wear PPE

• Sit and stand for long periods

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Strong communication skills
