    Description

    We are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer for our Optical Service Center located in Brooklyn Park, MN. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!

    Job Summary

    The Process Engineer in our manufacturing facility ensures all processes are within process control plans (PCP), provides process/product validation, manages projects and provide day-to-day problem resolution. The position partners with leaderships, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, sourcing, finance, training, and quality assurance on key initiatives and operational improvement.

    Position Specifics

    • Understands and evaluated against process control plans (PCP), establishes process/product validation and provides guidance technology, processes, and equipment reliability to support capacity, capability, and improvements to deliver service and quality results for the manufacturing network.

    • Leverages lean tools, including value stream mapping, to improve overall manufacturing cycle time and WIP reduction.

    • Provides support and leadership for the validation of equipment, consumables and other process parameters or changes leading to operational and quality improvement.

    • Provides guidance to support standardization of processes and materials across all manufacturing shifts.

    • Develops and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.

    • Performs problem solving to achieve resolution including proposing short term and long term solutions linked with process improvement.

    Experience/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, etc.) or equivalent

    • 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment; optical preferred

    • Experience in lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement; green belt required; black belt preferred

    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).

    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Advanced interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain credibility across all levels in the business.

    • Experience with project management and expertise in driving results.

    • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or Kaizen experience strongly preferred
