    The Leidos AIML Accelerator has a career opening for a Privacy Enhancing Technologies Researcher . This is an exciting opportunity at the intersect of deployment and research; helping Leidos evangelize privacy protections for customers eager to protect their systems data layers.

    We are looking for a motivated Privacy Enhancing Technologies Researcher that wants to work on challenging problems in a variety of domains - including health, defense, intelligence, and energy - to both apply and go beyond the state of the art for measurably better privacy outcomes. We apply ourknowledge, capabilities, and experience to develop and deploy:

    • Trusted AI - systems that deserve to be trusted by system owners, end users, and the public - to be accurate, fair, ethical, reliable, and adaptable.

    • Edge-to-Cloud Flexible Frameworks - systems that are containerized and optimized to deployment platform across multiple edge/clouds.

    • Secure, Resilient Systems - systems that include designed-in resiliency, early eradication of design flaws, and active run-time assurances.

    Your position would include pushing forward the state of the art on government funded research engagements with customers such as DARPA, meeting with program managers to present Leidos capabilities, preparing materials and briefing on current research and innovative ways to extend that to meet mission needs.

    All of our domains and systems rely upon assurances of data privacy guarantees throughout the data's complete lifecycle. We are looking for a researcher that is experienced researching, developing out, deploying, and describing privacy enhancing technologies as we expand our capabilities and deep understanding of data protections.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Research into state-of-the-art privacy enhancing technologies techniques.

    • Meeting with stakeholders and customers to discuss privacy capabilities.

    • Working with vendors and subcontractors to develop repeatable privacy solution patterns.

    • Collaborate with a team of privacy researchers to continue developing and enhancing current privacy offerings.

    • Work with Solutions Architects on developing proposals and write RFIs as the privacy solutioning expert.

    • Communicate capabilities inside and outside of the company in the form of white papers, conference papers, patents, journal publications.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field at 4+ years' experience or master's degree or PhD and 2+ years of experience.

    • Strong understanding of cryptography and privacy enhancing technologies

    • Good understanding of artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms, tools and platforms

    • Experience researching and developing novel privacy enhancing technologies

    • Python proficiency

    • Self-starter with high intellectual curiosity

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Familiarity with agile scrum process.

    • Must be a US Citizen and be eligible to obtain TS security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • History of publications

    • Strong understanding of privacy enhancing technology theory and implementations

    • Experience developing privacy toolkits

    • Strong privacy/Ethics background

    • Experience working with internal and external teams

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
