    We're looking for a PowerBI Developer to join a premier law firm in our Chicago office, on a hybrid basis. We're specializing in financial services, dedicated to providing top-tier legal advice and support to a diverse range of clients. Our team of professionals is committed to excellence, innovation, and client-focused solutions. We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team and help us leverage data insights to drive strategic decisions and optimize our services.

    As a Power BI Developer, you will play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights as a part of our multi-year data migration into Microsoft Fabric. You will work closely with our legal and financial teams to develop, deploy, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports. Your work will enable our firm to better understand and manage financial performance, client relations, and operational efficiencies.

    Contract Duration: 6 - 12 Months Required Skills & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

    • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.

    • Experience with data migration projects, specifically into Microsoft Fabric, is highly preferred.

    • Experience working in the financial services sector or legal industry is preferred.

    • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.

    • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

    • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and its data integration capabilities.

    • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capable of interpreting complex data sets.

    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate technical information into business language.

    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across departments.t.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Develop and Maintain Dashboards and Reports: Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide insights into financial performance, client activities, and operational metrics.

    • Data Integration and Management: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.

    • Microsoft Fabric Migration: Lead and support the data migration project to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data is accurately and efficiently transferred. Optimize new data models and workflows within the Fabric environment.

    • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with legal, financial, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver customized reporting solutions.

    • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze data trends and provide insights that support decision-making processes. Interpret data to identify areas of improvement and growth opportunities.

    • Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the performance of Power BI solutions. Optimize data models and queries for efficiency.

    • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities. Ensure users can effectively utilize the tools and reports provided.

    • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation of data models, processes, and systems. Ensure all data practices comply with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
