    Job Summary:

    The Physical Security Specialist (PSS) shall provide liaison with government and other local offices regarding Status and Testing of DTRA facility. The PSS shall report urgent matters regarding facility Status (violations, access denials, emergency access granted, and official interactions with PFPA) to DTRA Security. Initial Status reports shall be shared with DTRA Security within 2hrs with a full report submitted within 24hrs. The PSS shall coordinate with local officials for details when incident involves official interaction with PFPA, Security Services Directorate (SSD), or Fairfax County uniformed personnel. For Testing, the PSS shall contact and coordinate with building, local emergency services, and lease facility management offices to ensure tests, change in status, and exercises are coordinated. The PSS shall keep DTRA Security apprised of any conflicts in scheduling, make recommendations for updates, and deconflict against the Agency schedule to achieve the smallest impact to normal operations.

    This position is Part Time with a flex schedule three nights per week. Midnights Monday Tuesday and Wednesday 10PM to 6AM.

    (Shift may vary depending upon customer and site requirements.)

    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Perform quarterly training.

    • Post Orders review.

    • Physical Security updates.

    • DTRA Security updates.

    • Security Systems training (CCTV, Lenel OnGaurd, Secure Access).

    • Manage and execute quarterly testing:

    • Onsite Alarm Testing.

    • Emergency Evacuation Procedures.

    • Active Shooter.

    • Shelter-in-Place.

    • Lockdown Procedures.

    • Return to normal operations.

    • Review Physical Security tools and systems (SCIF alarms, CCTV, ESS, etc.) for Data and recommend Course of Actions for increasing effectiveness.

    • Maintains Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) schedule and overseas execution.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum ten (10) years of directly related experience in working as guard staff for a cleared or military facility.

    • Experience supporting related programs such as antiterrorism, emergency management, and visitor control.

    • Strong preference for military background.

    • Strong preference for experience in leased facility security.

    • Strong preference for recent hands-on experience supporting DTRA programs.

    • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

    Knowledge/Skills:

    • Expert knowledge of DoD Physical Security doctrine, DoDM 5200.08 Physical Security Program, and procedures in protecting personnel, property, and equipment in a SCI space.

    • Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing, and other documents for internal and external organizations.

    • Keep current on facility status, new physical security requirements and how those requirements impact mission. Recommend cost effective means to implement guidance and enhance physical security effectiveness.

    • Support the DTRA Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) Program.

    • Coordinate and collaborate with other security programs to account for force protection and the security of a leased facility.

    • Consult with Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), Security Services Directorate, and uniformed Fairfax County.

    • Coordinate and administer day-to-day physical security tasks at a standalone facility.

    • Works with customer to prepare work schedules and man-hour estimates to ensure 24/7/365 facilities are supported at all times.

    • Ensures proper training of all security guard staff.

    • Assigns and reviews guard staff performance. Prepares performance evaluations.

    • Ensures completion of administrative reporting, e.g., timecards, daily statistics, logs, and task narratives of guards.

    • Communicate with customers to clarify mission requirements.Assists with writing Standard Operating Procedures, Post Orders and maintaining/updating other contract documentation.
