Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Database and System Administrator to join the Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA for one of our largest OEM clients. In this position, you'll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.

The Database and System Administrator Functions supports a 24/7 hour Test operation.
This position is for first or second shift. Various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.
Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, Deploying Test Software & Configurations, Troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity
Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements
Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work
Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support
Responsible for database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades, design, migration, development, testing, and performance tuning
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5) with Polygraph, formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Skills and Requirements
-Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
-Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
-Extensive experience with Oracle database with exposure to Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c and later versions
-Database administration experience with MS SQL and MySQL
-Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle database architecture, migration, administration, backup, recovery
-Proficient in Oracle database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting
-Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc. Ability to automate and streamline database tasks and processes using scripts
-Experience in Operating Systems: RedHat Enterprise Linux (6.5 & above), Oracle Enterprise Linux, Solaris
-End-to-end process understanding and ownership. Ability to manage the entire database lifecycle, from design to deployment to maintenance, and ensure alignment with business objectives and expectations -Experience in Cyber Security
-Experience in Redhat and Oracle Linux servers, Windows, and Cisco IOS
-Certification in Oracle Database Administration is a plus
