    Position Overview:

    The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct clinical services to patients with psychiatric disorders, representing a broad range of diagnostic groups and developmental stages. These clinical services will include assessments, treatment planning, pharmacotherapy, and individual and group psychotherapies-as well as well as consultations to physicians and other clinicians. The work will mainly occur within the primary care clinics, although care may be delivered in other clinic settings as well-all within a collaborative care model. The Nurse Practitioner will work one evening per week.

    In collaboration with departmental leadership, this clinician will additionally be asked to participate in the design, development, and implementation of PAMF's integrated behavioral healthcare program. Sign-on Bonus $10k

    EDUCATION

    Master's: Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent education/experience

    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

    CA NP-Nurse Practitioner

    NFP-Nuse Practitioner Furnishing

    CNPSY-Certified Mental Health and Psych

    BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

    ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support

    MAB certification

    EXPERIENCE

    The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults of all ages-as well as in working within primary care settings and in using an integrated care approach. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred. Experience using Epic is also preferred. Broad experience in psychopharmacology, the management of psychiatric medications, and the education of patients and their families with respect to pharmacotherapy. Skills and knowledge of community agencies and resources. Knowledge of mandated reporting requirements Verbal and written communication skills for frequent and challenging contact with physicians, employees, patients and patient families; requires patience and compassion. Psychiatric assessment skills that can be applied to a wide range of DSM diagnoses. Ability to provide brief psychotherapies as appropriate. Ability to manage diverse caseload in a manner that meets patients' needs while also providing the capacity for new patients entering treatment. Interpersonal skills, and the ability to support change in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Ability to provide care that is consistent with professional standards, clinic policy, and managed care guidelines. Effective time management skills. Computer skills: EHR capable; Outlook email and Microsoft Word proficient. Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative, tactful and diplomatic manner. Active listening skills; including interpersonal skills and telephone communication Ability to sit or stand for long periods Applies moderate mental application and concentration to handle varying procedures and interruption.

    Pay Range is $85.57 to $112.96 / hour

    The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
