JOB SUMMARY
Apria Healthcare is a leading home healthcare provider committed to delivering compassionate care and innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for our patients. We are currently seeking a Medical Director to join our team and contribute to our mission of making a difference in patient care through remote healthcare services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Medical Director with expertise in pulmonary and sleep medicine to steer our clinical policies, oversee clinical programs, represent our interests in public settings, and spearhead the development and execution of clinical studies. This pivotal role requires approximately 20-30 hours per month and is crucial for the advancement of our clinical practices and for maintaining our commitment to patient-centric care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide expert review and oversight of all clinical programs, to help ensure the highest standards of care.
Strategic development and implementation of clinical policies in collaboration with senior clinical leaders, executive leadership team, and/or clinical regulatory compliance.
Representation of our organization at high-level discussions with payors, regulators, and health advocates.
Leadership in the design and execution of clinical trials, with a focus on innovation in clinical protocols.
Pioneering new care models and pilot programs to expand and improve patient care services.
Provides consultation in applicable clinical matters to company stakeholder in current operations or new business opportunities
Performs other duties as required.

Clinical expertise
Strong comprehension of remote care models and technology
Knowledge of reimbursement and regulatory compliance of respiratory homecare industry standards and practices

Must be a proven leader who is reliable and motivated with a strong work ethic.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively communicating sound advice and direction coupled with a strong understanding of business needs.

Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure.
