    As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at NTT Global Data Centers Americas, you will be a leader in the Technical Operations team, overseeing critical mechanical engineering projects and ensuring the high-performance operation of our data center facilities. Building on your extensive experience, you will lead and oversee complex mechanical engineering projects from concept to execution. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in providing guidance and mentorship to mid-level and entry-level mechanical engineers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement and innovation in mechanical systems for data center infrastructure.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Lead and oversee complex mechanical engineering projects, from concept to execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and entry-level mechanical engineers.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in mechanical systems for data center infrastructure.

    • Develop testing plans and corrective actions for optimization of data center equipment (CRAHs, CRACs, Chillers, AHUs, MAUs, humidifiers, etc.)

    • Participate in review of client expansions and sales opportunities to ensure the standard data center design can support the contractual mechanical requirements (IT load densities, cooling requirements, deployment layout, airflow balance, SLAs, outages criteria, space monitoring)

    • Establish efficiency targets and KPIs for data center equipment and systems.

    • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in mechanical engineering and apply them to enhance our operations.

    • Prepare and present technical reports and updates to senior management.

    • Effectively communicate complex technical details to clients, providing insights into the normal and abnormal states of our mechanical infrastructure, ensuring a comprehensive understanding.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Demonstrate comprehensive and practical analytical skills to correctly identify the problem, determine the root cause, and provide sound business solutions.

    • Ability to work independently on complex issues.

    • In-depth expertise in mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.

    • Proficient with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and analysis.

    • Strong ability to optimize and fine-tune mechanical systems for maximum efficiency.

    • Comprehensive understanding of data center infrastructure and its integration with mechanical systems.

    • Leadership and mentorship skills for guiding junior engineers.

    • Proficiency with Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, BlueBeam.

    What will make you a good fit for the role?

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.

    • 2+ years of experience in data center or commercial HVAC engineering is preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    • Able to hear and speak on a telephone/videoconferencing.

    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

    • Requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

    Work Conditions

    • Work from home environment.

    • Occasional visits to Data Center environments, which may be under construction for client builds, and subject to loud noises.

    • Daily usage of a computer and/or workstation keyboards and terminals.

    Special Requirements

    • Occasional travel to company locations throughout the US approximately 10%

    • Must be willing to occasionally work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, and early mornings to maintain communication with our global partners and counterparts in the organization.

    This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

    NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 110,000 - $ 155,000.

    All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
