Mechanical Design Engineer

Description

• To design applicable products with the use of CAD (2D and 3D) systems provided.

• Generating production drawings for the in-house shop and subcontracted shops.

• Manage mechanical portion of the project from start to finish.

• Customer relations in terms of obtaining the required information thru on site measure ups.

• Exhibit the knowledge and skill in product related discussions with customers.

• Capable to execute technical calculations to ensure the safety and integrity of mechanical custom components.

• Preparation of technical documentation and procedures, Product inspections and dimensional checks.

• Responsibilities include leadership and guidance to support the development of other engineering staff members.

• Co-operation and co-ordination with manufacturing personnel in the design of jigs and fixtures.

• Must be able to support revenue targets by supporting application team, product and project managers.

• Creation of communication documentation to help convey the key aspects of a design to a client or manufacturing partner.

• Creation, control and maintenance of release packages and design history files.

• Participation in development projects and prototype design.

• To perform any other duties as identified by the leadership of the company.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2-5 years experience.

• Fully proficient in 2D and 3D.

• Fully proficient in word processing and spread sheets.
