  • Adecco Staffing is partnering with a Long Beach, CA company to hire a Materials Manager for a Manufacturing company. Positions are full-time contract-to-hire positions that will include the client company's benefits when candidates become permanent employees of the client company.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Ensure the preservation and traceability of materials through proper storage and identification techniques

    • Maintain adequate inventories of raw materials

    • Plan and execute material handling operations to ensure a smooth flow of material during production processes

    • Track, record, and analyze material-related defects and provide corrective and preventative action plans to ensure adequate vendor performance

    • Receive, store and issue tools, machine tool fixtures, measuring devices, materials and/or supplies

    • Ensure accurate assembly, upgrades, distribution and tracking of tool kits

    • Maintains database of damaged, worn out or missing equipment

    • Source and purchase tooling by securing best market prices

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*

    • High School Degree or Equivalent. Associates Degree preferred

    • 4 years Material Handling Experience

    • 2 years Supervisor Experience preferred

    • Forklift Certified

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Office/Manufacturing environment

    Work may require bending, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, pulling, pushing, sitting, reaching, and standing for up to eight (8) hours per day.

    PAYRATE: $26/ to $30/ hr. DOE

    1st shift: 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM

    Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per week
