    A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for an industry leader in recreational boats, marine engines, marine parts and accessories in the Lowell, MI area. The role of a manufacturing engineer involves ing engineering principles to improve industrial layout and production efficiency, interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

    responsibilities

    • Study time, motion, methods, and speed in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.

    • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and consult with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

    • Verify that worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets adhere to quality assurance specifications.

    • Assist in planning work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.

    • Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.

    Skills

    • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

    • Team player and detail-oriented.

    • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.

    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

    • Experience with engineering-related computer applications and software, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

    • 0-2 years of experience required.
