    KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Federal Advisory practice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage a team of professionals delivering financial management advisory services to U.S. Federal government clients

    • Provide subject matter technical knowledge in financial management areas of financial reporting, internal controls, and/or financial business systems

    • Analyze financial reporting submissions, prepare responses / documentation, support walkthroughs, including communication with various stakeholders

    • Review findings, perform root-cause analysis, develop corrective actions, link like-kind issues, create roadmaps, identify dependencies and risks

    • Understand, document, and review the identification of key stakeholders, organization design / operations, process workflows, and roles & responsibilities

    • Review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results to management

    • Develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services

    • Contribute to the development and evolution of methodologies and intellectual capital, including articles, whitepapers, and training efforts

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of five years of federal financial management experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university; MBA or a relevant Master's degree from an accredited university, CPA, and/or CGFM or CDFM certifications preferred

    • Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities

    • Experience in leading project engagements, staff development, internal financial controls, business process analysis, and financial business systems

    • Strong understanding of business processes, project management methodologies, and leading financial practices

    • Experience with: FASAB, GAO, FAR, FMR, COSO, CFR, Treasury, OMB Circulars

    • Initial project will be located in Quantico, VA

    • U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government Secret security clearance
