    Position Overview

    The Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS) team is hiring for a Manager, Contracts who seizes the chance to immerse themselves with several top talent teams to accept and take on some of Raytheon's most unique contractual opportunities. The AFS Contracts team focus is on key competitive pursuits as well as the execution of development and production efforts that serve as the growth engine and front end of the business, establishing critical franchises for Raytheon.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Lead a team of contracts professionals and support the full contracts management lifecycle, inclusive of the development of proposals, as well as management and administration of contracts within a dynamic customer portfolio.

    • Partner with Key Program Functions to review and analysis Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), contract negotiations and general contract administration for multiple customer and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

    • Interface with customers on contracting matters and ensure that proposed and negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies.

    • Advise program management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks.

    • Minimal travel may be required (10%).

    Basic Qualifications

    • Typically requires a university degree and 8 years prior relevant experience in contracts, business or related field, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience

    • Experience managing and administering Defense or U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement (DFAR)

    • Experience in varying types of contracts in production, sustainment, and / or development services

    • Experience in Proposals development

    • Experience in Contracts negotiations

    • Experience in fact-finding, or similar research and data analysis

    • Active and transferable U.S. Government issued security clearance (Secret) required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in the development of sole-source and competitive proposals

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Experience working in a secure environment

    • Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives, including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
