Maintenance Assistant

Overview

Jones-Harrison is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facility in Minneapolis, MN. This repairs position is responsible for supervising preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment and grounds keeping for the buildings.

This repairs/grounds/maintenance schedule includes:

• Casual hours help pick up shifts ahead of time and for last minute needs.

• Flexible schedule, mainly day shifts

Responsibilities/Job Description

• Repairs and maintains work orders for residents' individual living apartment homes and community spaces

• Keeps grounds and walkways free from obstructions including snow removal, and operating motorized grounds equipment

• Monitors and performs basic repairs to HVAC, security, safety, electrical and plumbing equipment

• Apartment turnovers

Qualifications

Required:

• Current drivers license in good standing

• Current boilers license

• One to three years previous experience in a similar environment

• Experience with mechanical equipment

Preferred:

• Vocation/Technical training preferred

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Desire to work with older adults
