    Description:

    Reporting to the Manager Social Services*, Social Services, this position is responsible for providing crisis intervention, evaluation, counseling, and information and referral services to patients, family, and staff presented with a psychosocial problem through the Emergency Department. The incumbent provides consultation, support, and educational programs to Emergency Department staff and physicians.

    1. Master's Degree in counseling from an accredited school is required.

    2. Current registration with the State of California as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

    3. One (1) year experience with emergency psychiatric or medical social work, crisis intervention and brief and long-term therapy, either in a mental health setting or a medical/health setting is required.

    4. Experience working with family and community systems and with multidisciplinary teams is required.

    5. Strong working knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM V) is required.

    6. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

    Pay Range

    $39.59 - 55.43
