    JOB SUMMARY

    The Leak Detection Engineer develops, implements, and monitors the Leak Detection program for Company assets. As a PI System Administrator, you will be responsible for the effective management, administration, and optimization of our organization's PI System infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our data infrastructure, enabling our teams to make informed decisions based on accurate and timely data. The individual will be expected to tailor the OSIsoft PI system for specific use cases and develop high-quality data visualizations.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Petroleum) or computer science from an ABET-accredited institution.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.

    • Extensive Knowledge of SCADA systems, instrumentation, and process control.

    • Good knowledge of software configuration management systems.

    • Awareness of latest technologies and Industry trends.

    • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate.

    • Strong technical expertise in midstream operations, including knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.

    Leak Detection

    • 5-8+ years of experience Oil and Gas- Upstream/ Midstream, Hydraulic Modelling & Simulations.

    • Experience with industry standard leak detection software packages preferably, Energy Solutions International/Emerson (PipelineManager).

    • Flexible, able to adapt to a change in work priorities and manage multiple projects with short turnaround time.

    • Ability to work a rotational on-call shift to support any after hours leak detection alerts.

    PI Administrator

    • 5+ years of experience with the OSISOFT PI System.

    • In-depth knowledge of Aveva OSISOFT PI System architecture, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI Integrators.

    • Proficiency in configuring and optimizing PI System components to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

    • Experience with PI System security configurations, access controls, and auditing.

    • Experience with PI SDK and scripting languages such as .NET (C#) or PowerShell for automation and system integration.

    • Strong understanding of database systems.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Leak Detection Engineer

    • Configures, implements, and maintains simulated models for leak detection systems.

    • Monitors and tunes leak detection systems.

    • Assess leak detection system performance including false alarms with Operations Control.

    • Understands and interprets pipeline systems to establish leak detection requirements.

    • Works with Operations Control and Pipeline Integrity to determine critical assets and prioritization.

    • Provides rotational 24x7 on-call technical service of the control center for leak detection support as needed.

    • Reviews field equipment and operations and provides recommendations to improve leak detection capabilities.

    • Prepares cost estimates, budgets and supplies an oversight of changes.

    • Evaluates Leak Detection and Simulation technologies and stay current on industry trends and regulations.

    • Develops technologies to improve leak detection performance.

    • Provides Controller and Operator training.

    • Performs additional projects as required.

    • Provide support and mentorship to junior Engineers on team.

    PI Administration

    • Install, configure, and maintain the Aveva OSISOFT PI System infrastructure, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI Integrators.

    • Implement and enforce governance for PI System

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement enhancements and optimizations to the PI System architecture.

    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify areas for improvement to ensure system reliability and uptime.

    • Develop and implement data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical business data.

    • Manage security and access controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.

    • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing system-related inquiries and resolving technical issues.

    • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate the PI System with other enterprise systems and applications.

    • Stay up to date with the latest Aveva OSISOFT PI System advancements, best practices, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

    • Develop, implement, and support Condition Based Monitoring solutions to automate and optimize the prediction, prevention, and notification of unplanned and unwanted events. This will increase productivity by reducing the required effort and duration of event investigations. These solutions will incorporate technologies like PI Asset Framework (Analytics, Event Frame), PI Notification, PI System Explorer, Custom Data References (.Net, Python, C#), SQL Databases, etc.

    • Facilitate customer interactions to provide solutions using the OSIsoft PI system or any other tool that interfaces with PI systems (SCADA, Spotfire, Seeq, Power BI, etc.).

    • Develop user graphics/displays, event frames, and analytics.

    • Manage third-party data transfers and integrations.
