Junior Staff Accountant

Description

Growing firm seeks a Junior Staff Accountant with public accounting expertise. This role will consist of supporting senior accountants and financial managers, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month end close, generating daily financial reports, preparing adjustments, and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities. The Junior Staff Accountant must have strong organizational and communication skills, excellent time management skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

Primary Duties

• Prepare and analyze financial reports

• Maintain client filing systems

• Prepare profit and loss statements/balance sheets

• Maintain general ledger

• Perform account reconciliation

• Identify ways to reduce costs and increase revenue

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns

• Assist with administrative duties as needed

Requirements

The ideal Junior Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the Junior Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to

• 1-2 years of corporate accounting experience

• Public Accounting and CPA track a plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• QuickBooks preferred
