    IT Support Specialist

    KBR is seeking a IT Support Specialist to support government customers in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The IT Support Specialist provides a highly responsive IT point of contact for all customer test workstation and infrastructure needs. This role supports adaptive reconfiguration of test suites and test workstations to facilitate rapid transition of test configurations to support back-to-back and overlapping test requirements. This role necessarily requires in depth coordination with the NGA IT services contract program office and the IT services contractor team and broad working knowledge of NGA IT policies, program responsibilities, and processes for accomplishing needed IT tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform installation, configuration, updates, and support of applications that are part of customer internal support environment

    • Perform installation of software applications that are integrated into the NSG/ASG, in support of the NIIST team prior to testing, to ensure installation procedures function properly.

    • Calibrate monitors for evaluation workstations in compliance with all applicable standards, guidelines and instructions.

    • Manage and maintain Outlook mail groups and security groups.

    • Create and manage Active Directory distribution and security groups

    • Provide system administration and network support to the customer mission environment and servers at other locations .

    • Provide file system management services in support of Records Management program activities to include: file management support, and folder and file permissions/restrictions control; conduct on multiple security domains .

    • Provide SharePoint support and administration for file management.

    • Provide support and maintenance for the software version control tool used by customer

    • Provide support to Test activities operating in multiple test environments and on multiple security domains.

    • Support establishment, accreditation, maintenance, and support of T&E prototyping, test, staging, and production environments across all three security domains (Top Secret, Secret, and Unclassified).

    • Provide Systems administration; conduct backups, restores and new image installs of workstations.

    • Act as the Field Service Rep (FSR) for customer systems during assisted service testing; perform installations and updates.

    • Provide management, maintenance, and administration of the customer test environment; create, track and maintain user accounts for the test environment.

    • Support ASP duties for all test environment workstations, including both thick and thin client workstations, as well as virtual machines in the test environment.

    • Establish and decommission cloud virtual private clouds (VPCs) to host customer test tools and/or services on all security domains, as requested .

    • Support test planning and scheduling events to ensure the test environment workstations and applications are appropriately configured.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

    • Skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 3+ years of experience. Additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

    Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI ( with Poly preferred)
