    What will you do?

    Main Objective

    We are seeking an HSE Specialist to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the site HSE Manager, you will coach and mentor teams to live Safety First, Quality Always, complete hazard assessments and action plans, conduct incident investigations and handle regulatory analysis/reporting for a site with approximately 300 team members.

    Main Activities

    • Develop, implement, and execute HSE annual objectives & improvement plans in conjunction with site leadership.

    • Assist in managing environmental permits and program requirements specific to the site.

    • Assist in attaining and maintaining the sites ISO-14001 certification.

    • Undertake audits/inspections of the site (including machinery/equipment and work systems).

    • Identify site HSE training needs, mobilize resources and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required.

    • Assist in leading and overseeing the site Safety Committees meetings.

    • Support site supervisors and managers with the investigation of HSE incidents at the site. Where necessary, lead the investigation process.

    • Communicate HSE incidents and corrective actions.

    • Partner with Corporate to monitor the status of all open Workers Compensation claims and coordinate activities to minimize lost and/or restricted work days, partnering with site Human Resources where necessary.

    • Assist in tracking and monitoring site HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communicate trends appropriately.

    • Maintain HSE records to ensure adherence to corporate polices and/or regulatory requirements. Includes, but not limited to, OSHA 300 log, incident records, safety metrics, training, inspections, permits, etc.

    • Assist in the continuous improvement efforts for the sites HSE programs and performance.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    What will you need to be successful?

    • BS in Occupational Safety & Health or at least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.

    • OSHA 30 certification (general industry). Any additional certifications like ASP, CSP, CIH are a nice to have.

    • Experience with LOTO programs, confined space, forklift training.

    • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc). SAP and Intelex are a nice to have.

    • Organizational and communication skills.

    Compensation

    The typical hiring range for this role is $62,906 to $92,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
