Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 to support our dining services at Meth-Wick Community located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa . Meth-Wick is a longstanding Sodexo partner with over 30 years of service. This beautiful retirement community is a rare jewel in the midst of Cedar Rapids offering Independent and Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Health Care Services. This position will support the food service operations for the healthcare residents.

The successful candidate will:

• motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly-paid), staff;

• provide stellar customer service;

• ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;

• manage the dining room operations for skilled care residents.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• food production experience in either a senior living or healthcare setting;

• a certified dietary manager (CDM) certificate or the willingness to obtain within 1st year of employment;

• hands on skills with inventory management and ordering;

• strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop employees;

• working knowledge of HACCP protocols for regulatory compliance;

• the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
