  • Description Senior, Financial Reporting - Up to $105K+ bonus, excellent benefits

    My client is a leader in real estate, headquartered in northern Virginia. This position is based in Tysons Corner, Virginia and will offer hybrid working. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, coordinating with internal and external parties, and implementing new reporting standards. This role also involves conducting some technical accounting research.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and statutory requirements - Assist in creating the monthly reporting package, including performing various analytical reviews, and prepare monthly ad-hoc reports - Coordinate with internal parties like Tax, GL, and International Accounting, and external parties like external auditors, local third-party accountants, and other advisors, as needed - Participate in the implementation of new reporting standards in compliance with both U.S. GAAP & IFRS - Conduct technical accounting research and assist in the drafting of technical accounting memos as needed - Assist in the preparation of financial statements for joint ventures - Prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities effectively - Show a strong commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables - Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities - Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in leading teams and coordinating with peers and other disciplines on driving projects/issues to closure - Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills in all aspects of work Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Real Estate industry - Experience in public accounting - Ability to prepare and analyze Monthly and Quarterly Financial Reports - Experience in Financial Statements Consolidation - Knowledge in preparing Monthly Financial Statements - Leadership skills to guide and manage a team - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Familiarity with finance-related software and systems - Bachelor's degree in accounting - detail oriented certification such as CPA is a plus - Strong understanding of financial laws and regulations All interested parties, please respond to me directly via LinkedIn - Ty Smith
