    Job Summary

    The Employee Engagement Specialist develops and implements a wide range of belonging and employee engagement initiatives that improve employee and organizational effectiveness. Responsible for supporting UTA's employee resource groups, leading Affinity Groups, integrating belonging and engagement into institution-wide processes and programs, and coordinate initiatives that address identified workforce needs using institutional measuring tools/surveys.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design, develop and execute initiatives and solutions that support the organization's belonging and engagement objectives and strategy.

    • Create and manage initiatives that actively address needs identified in the institution's Employee Satisfaction Survey and/or other institutional measuring tools/surveys.

    • Support employee resource groups affinity groups,, belonging and engagement events programming.

    • Serve as lead program consultant to key partners to leverage expertise, ensure deliverables are met, and deliver high-quality belonging and engagement initiatives.

    • Evaluate effectiveness of learning content and experiences through survey design, focus groups, and other measures.

    • Analyzes and synthesizes learning effectiveness data.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Cross Cultural Studies, Human Resources or related field of study from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience developing and supporting a broad range of employee engagement, organizational change management programs, human resources, training and development or project management or equivalent experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree and minimum five 5 years of experience developing and supporting a broad range of employee engagement, organizational change management programs, human resources, training and development or project management. Experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to provide create persuasive recommendations, program/training facilitation, developing and presenting data analysis/metrics, etc.

    • Experience leading presentations and large group facilitation.

    • SHRM/HRCI Certified Professional (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or SPHR/PHR) preferred.

    • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high levels of interpersonal sensitivity, cultural intelligence, and judgment.

    • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment

    • Skilled at thinking strategically.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
