    Job Responsibilities

    • Undertake maintenance, refurbishment & installation works of all aspects of electrical services, including emergency lighting, electrical LV switchgear, distribution boards, mains and sub- mains cabling, containment, lighting, and other electrical equipment.

    • Have a good knowledge of 3 phase motor control and instrumentation systems.

    • To have knowledge of inspection and testing procedures and certify works upon completion in accordance with relevant certification.

    • To undertake reactive and planned service works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames ensuring client expectations are met.

    • Provide detailed reports upon completion of works including breakdown processes, hours and materials of works to allow for accurate valuation of works

    • To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.

    • To have knowledge of multi-disciplined trades in electrical distribution systems (LV), mechanical ventilation, HVAC, chillers, plumbing/CWST systems and LTHW heating services.

    • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.

    • To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.

    • To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.

    • To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.

    • To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.

    • To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.

    • To be always fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs.

    • To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained accurately.

    • Always Working in a safe manner, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Company H&S policy.

    • Follow on call Rota of 1 week in 5 - Monday to Sunday which comes with an additional payment per week on call.

    Person Skills

    • Approved Electrician NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / 17th edition (18 th Preferred)

    • Recognised Apprenticeship

    • Previous experience working within building maintenance, projects and minor works environment.

    • Previous experience working with HVAC equipment and controls.

    • Previous experience with working with LV motor controls and associated control panels

    • Full clean driving licence.

    • Full disclosure is a contractual requirement.

    • Must be able to work within a team and be self-motivated

    • Flexible in approach to work scheduling

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure

    • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

    • Use of computer systems to maintain electronic work schedules

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of seven years experience as a licensed electrician. Completion a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Prior experience with DDC and EMS preferred.

    CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

    Valid driver's license required.

    Master Electrician license as dictated by local electrical codes

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

    FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

    Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles and to understand operating budgets. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

    OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

    Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
