Electrical Test Engineer (PhyQual)

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity, and scalability.

• Work with testing team to develop performance test plans and cases.

• Perform & Analyze Power test cases and review results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes.

• Debug complex issues at system level & component level including CPU, ASICs, FPGAs, Power supplies, etc.

• Leverage automation to implement test strategy & improve productivity

• Test product's compliance to internal specs as well as industry standards

• Provide detailed issue mitigation & drive issues to closure

• Document test plans, procedures, & test reports

• Help root cause issues & support customer escalations

Skills and Requirements

-Experience in Test Automation including planning, assessments & script development

-Python experience

• Familiar with working Variable Network Analyzer

• Understanding of high-pass / low-pass filters

• Working on PoE (Power Over Ethernet)

• Using Traffic Generators for 10/100/1000 BASET

o Usually generated by Ixia or Spirent

• Making sure that all signals and measurements are compliant with the IEEE 802.3 specification

-Working w/ RJ45 connections and different CAT5E / CAT6A ethernet cables null
