Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Project Manager to join our team in our Atlanta Midtown office!
Responsibilities
Lead complex design of electrical systems for sites/facilities such as transportation, power delivery, or energy (solar, BESS, microgrid, EV infrastructure, etc.) projects
Preparation of project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and marketing proposals
Lead a team of qualified staff while mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our electrical engineering practice into new markets and clients
Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams
Responsible for the development of reports and design documents
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 8 years of relatable experience in an Electrical Engineering role
Licensed EE in the state of GA (or ability to obtain within a year of employment)
Experience managing and mentoring younger staff
Interest and experience engaging directly with clients, having a growth mindset to build business
Experience with marketing and business development activities
Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes
Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)
Experience in Power Studies, such as System Impact Studies, Short Circuit Analysis, Coordination/Protection, or Arc Flash Analysis preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
