    We are currently seeking a electrical engineer who will be responsible for to lead and support Value Engineering activities for our San Jose Life Sciences location.

    In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Driving redesign of current products to improve cost and quality

    • Solving complex technical issues in product design and procurement logistics/implementation thru structured problem solving

    • Developing engineering solutions using technical skills and structured design tools

    The required qualifications for the job include

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 2-3 years' experience in product development and product engineering support role -OR- a Master's degree with 2+ years' experience

    • Experienced in using electronic circuit simulation/modeling software

    • Technical expertise in electronic design of power supply, motor driver, digital logic, analog circuit and/or microprocessor circuits

    • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to focus efforts, overcome obstacles, and complete key objectives

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

    • Experience with instrumentation (equipment) design and integration including complex electro-mechanical systems, fluid handling, pneumatics, thermal systems, and/or optical systems

    • Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot and improve electrical and electromechanical systems using formal problem-solving methodology with analytical and statistical methods.

    • Experience in dealing with design changes in a structured design control/change environment for medical devices

    The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $90-$105K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
