    Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United's global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United's customers. From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Performs flight time and payload capacity analyses and considers all relevant policy and aircraft performance factors in determining suitability of operating future domestic and international charters as proposed by charter sales. Evaluates and maintains databased information for applicability to each charter flight segment and builds records for each mission. Evaluates weather forecasts, NOTAMs, and aircraft mechanical status and prepares dispatcher instructions and flight deck crew member briefings for charter flights operating the following day. Reviews workload volumes and communicates dispatcher personnel requirements. Coordinates and communicates with fellow charter planning colleagues, dispatchers, workforce schedulers, charter sales, and flight operations personnel.

    Exercises strong skills in flight planning, aircraft performance analyses, written technical communication, and identification of operational risks and limiting conditions. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Figures out reasonable flight time and payload capacities in compliance with aircraft performance capabilities, and dispatch, flight operations, and aircraft operating and procedure manuals

    • Reviews and maintains airfield aeronautical data, NOTAM information, database records, and builds-up operational records for each mission in multi-phased work process

    • Reviews weather forecasts and NOTAMS and aircraft mechanical status

    • Prepares dispatch instructions and mission flight deck crew member briefing targeted to the operation to be performed

    • Reviews workload volumes, identifies workload complexities, and coordinates with department scheduling to assure appropriate staff allocation for charter flight dispatching

    • Reviews and establishes workload priorities for other dispatch charter support planner personnel

    What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

    • High school diploma, GED or education equivalent

    • Airline / Aircraft operations

    • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certification, Certificate of Competency or Pilot's License

    • Aviation Weather & NOTAMs

    • Basic principles of aircraft performance

    • Advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Ability to make sound decisions with accuracy, provide detail-oriented work products, and exercise good judgment

    What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

    • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience

    • 2 years or more of flight dispatch experience

    • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certification
