We are looking for a WW Visual & Product Merchandising Leader to direct and drive strategy, planning, creative, and operational effectiveness to support the performance and growth of the worldwide retail organization. In this role, you will be responsible for in-store visual merchandising for all product and services, as well as the accessories product assortment selection across all Apple Retail stores. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with best in class merchandising practices, a strong commercial sense, and demonstrated success overseeing a sophisticated, global business. You will have experience with leading large teams that create visual merchandising strategies and product assortments plans, anchored in the customer journey and product experience. The candidate will have a balance of expertise in merchandising storytelling and deep analytics on shopper and data insights, with a meticulous test and learn approach.

    Key Qualifications

    • 15+ years relevant experience in global retail industry, commerce and omni channel trends, ideally with a focus in merchandising and buying.

    • 10+ years minimum experience of leading large senior team, 5+ years as a manager of managers

    • Demonstrated people leader who builds capabilities of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication, and guidance.

    • Validated experience establishing vision and goals and developing strategic and tactical plans.

    • Ability to lead and navigate organizational change, implementing new ideas and/or business process changes effectively.

    • Experienced in balancing multiple priorities, partners and work streams across geographies and business groups.

    • Outstanding analytical and numerical proficiency; comfortable working with data sets and making decisions based on data.

    • Highly skilled at building effective presentations and storytelling including at the executive level.

    Description

    *Defines, designs, and manages global in-store visual merchandising strategies including product presentation, space allocation, and product discovery experiences across all hero products, services, and accessories. *Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including ID, Product Marketing, Marcom, Commercial Marketing, Retail Engagement & Marketing, to ensure seamless alignment of merchandising strategies, messaging and branding with overall business objectives. Partners cross-functionally to define, design, develop, and prioritize new and enhanced merchandising tools and systems both physically and digitally. *Partner to align on integrated Accessories roadmap across Apple. Responsible for the Third Party Accessories business and strategy, including product development, selection, assortment planning, vendor management, compliance and regulatory management, and overall product life cycle. *Collaborate with Regional Merchandising teams to coordinate new product and services introductions, seasonal moments, and values proposition moments. *Understand regional and seasonal nuances and build strategies to best optimize merchandising placements and retail activations as appropriate. *Optimize customer experience and journey through effective navigation, demo, discovery, and messaging. Generate actionable insights and recommendations to improve return on investment. *Provide insight, guidance, and direction to the team, partners and leadership to drive conversion and for the overall execution of Apple business priorities, while demonstrating Apple's values of inclusion and diversity in daily activities. *Contribute to an inclusive environment through respecting each others' differences and having the curiosity to learn while taking action to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all team members.

    Education & Experience

    Bachelors degree and/or Master's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience preferred, MBA a plus.

    Additional Requirements

    • Regular meetings with peers in Asia and Europe during overlapping business hours.

    • Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work during critical time periods.

    • Some travel required.

    Pay & Benefits

    • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $250,400.00 and $400,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
